Restoration of a transitional commode stamped three times E.AVRIL, veneered in amaranth, rosewood, satinwood, and green-stained stringing on an oak and softwood frame. Etienne Avril (1748-1791), admitted as a Master Joiner-Cabinetmaker on November 23, 1774, died prematurely in 1791.
