Ébénisterie Mathieu Vath

Based in Sablons-sur-Huisne, in the heart of the Perche region, Ébénisterie Mathieu Vath combines the craftsmanship of the cabinetmaker with the precision of technical study. Our presentation detail this approach: a demanding and ethical view of cabinetmaking, attentive to deontological expertise as much as to the eco-responsible approach.

Our know-how covers the conservation-restoration of art furniture: preliminary study, diagnosis, and reasoned intervention respecting authenticity and original materials, from solid wood to Boulle marquetry.

This requirement extends into our Studies, dedicated to ancient finishes and historical techniques, as well as in our technical opinions, which compare the supposed history of a piece of furniture with its material reality—using laboratory analysis if necessary.
