A weekly planner?
The weekly organizer is a piece of furniture that appeared in the mid-18th century, primarily intended for women. It is a chiffonier (appeared during the Regency, between 1715 and 1723) with 7 drawers, one for each day of the week, intended for storing the day's clean underwear.
The Restoration
There were few missing areas on this piece of furniture. The few gaps in the satin and amaranth finishes were filled with new veneer, which was sawn, scraped, and sanded, then cut to the correct thickness as a backing before being glued in place with hot glue. The glues were then regenerated by infiltration. The varnish was too damaged, so it was stripped, and then a new coat of colorless shellac varnish was applied with a pad.
