Restoration of a chest of drawers transition In rosewood and amaranth veneer with green-tinted Greek-style fillet, on an oak frame. Congratulations to Lisa for this first restoration during her internship at the workshop.
The work primarily involved the facade crossbeams, with the missing amaranth veneer being replaced by sawn, scraped, sanded, and thickened veneer applied to the backing before being glued with hot glue. The varnish was restored using Labovert's GAMMA polar solvent before being refinished with a clear shellac varnish.
