Restoration of an Empire period pedestal table in mahogany burl veneer.
It was in quite poor condition when it arrived at the workshop; the bronzes were heavily soiled, there were many structural separations and missing veneers.
The restoration therefore consisted of reattaching the structural elements and the veneers. This operation was carried out under vacuum with the injection of a penetrating adhesive for the upper band and the central shaft. The few old grafts, which had been applied with the grain running in the wrong direction, were removed and replaced with a more suitable veneer.

The old varnish was then removed with a pad and the bronzes were cleaned with Panama wood.
