Here is a Provençal table from the Louis XV period and copperware dating partly from the 18th century and partly from the first two-thirds of the 19th century. They have been varnished and are in perfect condition. The pewter pieces are from the 18th century. The metalwork with iron utensils also dates from the 18th century, some pieces being older than others (a very rare item).

Provençal table
A center table with a drawer in the front (lined internally), made of waxed walnut, richly carved on all sides with shell and foliage motifs belonging to the late Regency repertoire. The drawer frame is made of softwood (larch or pine). The chamfered top is made of walnut.

Maintenance restoration (no grafted base)
Natural wood furniture, molded and carved, was produced in large numbers during the 18th century for various uses (console, flat desk, gaming table, writing table, etc.). Provence, thanks to its warm, dry climate, favored the manufacture of natural wood furniture, whose lines are often more pronounced than those of models north of the Loire. Walnut wood was commonly used in southeastern France. It was reserved for the most refined pieces in Paris, where the few surviving natural wood furniture pieces are often made entirely of beech or a combination of beech and walnut. These were crafted by cabinetmakers for the most prestigious pieces. Few examples have survived the ravages of time. For instance, among the hundreds of natural wood furniture pieces delivered for the Crown Furniture Repository Throughout the 18th century, only one has been identified to date. Provence and the Lyon region having fostered the production of this type of furniture, the surviving examples are more numerous.
Kitchen items
This exceptional collection of 17th and 18th century glazed copper kitchenware, 18th-century pewter serving dishes, and a small 18th-century ironwork set was assembled in the 20th century by a collector for the kitchen of an old house. It is in excellent condition.
This set consists of:
- 4 saucepans and a frying pan (red copper); ;
- 5 entremets and cake molds (red copper); ;
- 3 fishmongers, one of which is not photographed (red copper); ;
- 1 pie dish and its lid (red copper); ;
- 1 bed warmer (yellow brass); ;
- 1 funnel (red copper); ;
- 1 chocolate pot (red copper); ;
- 3 fish kettles of different sizes (red copper); ;
- 1 cauldron (red copper); ;
- 1 daubière with a copper handle and 1 daubière with a wrought iron tail (red copper); ;
- 1 Louis XV style pewter cake plate with a rim; ;
- 1 large round tin dish marked with the initials PDI and crowned hallmark; ;
- 1 Louis XVI fine pewter tureen (marked on the reverse with 4 fine pewter hallmarks); ;
- 2 varnished oak style supports (83.5 X 33 cm; 145 X 41cm); ;
- 1 antique iron; ;
- 1 iron kitchen utensil holder including a large Directoire-style ladle,
- an ash shovel, a rotisserie skewer, and a flat pastry shovel, all made of iron
- forged, polished, lustrous.
