This week, I restored a lovely regionally made side table with a solid ash base and maple, walnut and plum marquetry for the bottomless cubes.
Nothing too complicated for the restoration. Re-gluing the loose marquetry elements, stripping, and French polishing. A very interesting new recipe that I will elaborate on in a future article. A recipe from 1861 by Dessaignes.
