Son b\u00e2tis est en ch\u00eane et r\u00e9sineux, et elle est plaqu\u00e9e d&rsquo;amarante, de bois de rose, de satin\u00e9 pour les c\u00f4t\u00e9s et de filets d&rsquo;\u00e9b\u00e8ne et de buis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Une commode qui se situe \u00e0 l&rsquo;extr\u00eame fin de la transition entre le style Louis XV et Louis XVI. Il exer\u00e7a rue de Charenton au moins jusqu&rsquo;en 1792. Il a laiss\u00e9 des ouvrages tr\u00e8s estimables et \u00e9tait avant tout un ornemaniste et marqueteur plein de science et de go\u00fbt. Une exposition qui eut lieu au mus\u00e9e des Arts D\u00e9coratif en 1910 montrait de lui un secr\u00e9taire en laque vert et ou de style chinois. La quasi-totalit\u00e9 des placages se d\u00e9collaient et il y avait bien \u00e9videmment quelques manques. L&rsquo;ensemble de la structure \u00e9tait quant \u00e0 lui heureusement en bon \u00e9tat les joints de colles des panneaux \u00e9taient d\u00e9coll\u00e9s mais ce n&rsquo;\u00e9tait pas bien m\u00e9chant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette commode a subi peut de restaurations, il y a quelques greffes de placage mais le placage est encore bien conserv\u00e9 et atteint une travail de restauration a consist\u00e9 \u00e0 recoller les placages par infiltration de colle. Mais les anciennes colles n&rsquo;\u00e9tait tellement d\u00e9grad\u00e9es qu&rsquo;un apport de colle prot\u00e9ique \u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 obligatoire. En effet apr\u00e8s la premi\u00e8re tentative de r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des colles sur un c\u00f4t\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s avoir retir\u00e9 les colles et les serres jointes nous avons constat\u00e9 que les panneaux de r\u00e9sineux avaient enti\u00e8rement bu la colle que nous avions inject\u00e9e.
