Tr\u00e8s reconnaissable ici par les pieds en patte de lion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le vernis sur ce lit \u00e9tait pass\u00e9, on ne voyait plus la diff\u00e9rence entre les deux acajous qui le composent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Un<\/strong> <strong>Acajou dit de Cuba (Swietenia mahogani)<\/strong> <ul><li>Cuba, colonie espagnole. Traces d\u2019importation en Espagne \u00e0 S\u00e9ville d\u00e8s 1519-1520. Utilis\u00e9 par Philippe II entre 1563 et 1584 lors de la construction du Palais de l\u2019Escorial. Utilis\u00e9 aussi par les anglais, surtout au XIX \u00e8me si\u00e8cle. A noter&nbsp;: les auteurs anciens, le juge de qualit\u00e9 inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la provenance de St Domingue.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Saint Domingue, colonie fran\u00e7aise d\u00e8s la fin du XVII \u00e8me si\u00e8cle. On peut dire que l\u2019acajou utilis\u00e9 en France au XVIII \u00e8me si\u00e8cle provient en grande majorit\u00e9 de St Domingue.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Jama\u00efque, Bahamas&nbsp;: source principale des approvisionnements anglais depuis la seconde moiti\u00e9 du XVII \u00e8me si\u00e8cle jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin de XIX \u00e8me si\u00e8cle. Trace d\u2019utilisation en 1680 lors de la construction du Ch\u00e2teau de Nottingham. Les importations deviendront importantes \u00e0 partir de 1720-1730.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Acajou dit du Honduras&nbsp;(Swietenia macrophylla)<\/strong> pour les panneaux<ul><li>Connu sous diff\u00e9rents noms en fonction de ses provenances en Am\u00e9rique centrale et au nord de l\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Sud.
